I think of you write AoiNene or Terukane or any ship that is not AoiAoi you still need to kind acknowledge their relationship and their bond with each other, because even if their not dating or anything, their close bond is still here, they are childhood friends and still have a huge platonic bond no matter what, and I do think actually deepening into it when they are no dating is very interesting.

(In a context of them not in love and dating each other)

Both acknowledging they are not actually in love with each other but still care a lot for each other, accepting it and all.

Also them taking time without each other for a little bit to just heal and just go out of the ""toxic"" relationship they described to have just to get closer again after.

Also pretty sure Sakura is 17 and Tsukasa is 13 and I can't stand by that I'm sorry😭4 year age gap doesn't sound that bad until it's like teenagers. The largest age gap for teens I'll take is 2 years. So like 15 and 17 is fine to me and 14 and 16 and etc. but JESUS 13 AND 17? NO--so uhm yea MitsuTsu

I ship HanaNeneKou platonically and romantically, but it’s hard to see NatsuSakuTsuMitsu being romantic all together?

lemonkane au because its 1am and I can't sleep so I have to feed the three other lemonkane enjoyers

akane is hanging out with lemon when a rabid supernatural who senses akane's powr tries to attack him. lemon gets caught in the crossfire and ends up dying. an enraged akane defeats the supernatural before running to lemon's side as he dies. while he is sobbing over his best friend (and possibly more)'s body, he is approached by tsukasa. he tells akane that he will grant akane a wish (bringing lemon back) in exchange for his services. in a heat of the moment decision akane accepts, striking a deal with a smirking tsukasa.

lemon is brought back as a supernatural but unlike mitsuba he only died as a human so he was able to regain most of his memories. he is shocked when he hears that he died and is now a ghost who most people cannot see. he tries to stay positive but he feels loneliness as well as his lack of humanity. akane keeps him company whenever he gets the chance, but he has to be careful not to be discovered by teru or the clock keepers.

akane's deal with tsukasa ends up forcing him to spy on the school mysteries and teru. he feels guilty, especially about betraying teru, but he has no choice since he already made the deal. he is tasked with reporting any information on the school mysteries and keeping teru, the dangerous exorcist, out of their hair. they don't come after no. 1's yorishiro (yet) because of how useful akane is.

driven a little mad by loneliness lemon grows a dependency on akane, becoming as obsessed with him as he used to be about his phone. akane is slightly unnerved but will not admit that the lemon he once knew is slipping away. he still ignores the problem when lemon gets jealous about how much time he spends with teru and aoi (aoikane is platonic in this au).

akane slowly gets dependent on lemon too, falling for the illusion of true love.

I'm going to sleep now as I have rewritten this hundreds of times and it is now 2am. I might expand on this or write a fic some time if I find the time, but for now I'll leave it open ended while I think about a goo way to end it. If you have any questions about this au please feel free to ask!

I almost 100% agree with this lmao tho I wanna say I feel like it's unfair to Teru and Akane's relationship (platonic or romantic) to use such an out dated panel of them to it feels like describe there dynamic- they've grown a LOT since those chps and tho yes it did happen they've both had a lot of character development since then and i feel it's un fair- tho I get the use for this argument 100% but Teru HAS put his safety in danger for Akane (cannonly-) on multiple occasions tho Teru would definitely choose his siblings in a heartbeat he HAS protected him and show care to him and his safety it's just not as noticeable as hmm say Kou and mitsuba? Were Kou would say out right he would protect mitsuba but Teru wouldn't- that's just how he is- he never says he cares out loud (at least not very often)

Idk I'm just sharing my thoughts- I agree with you tho- people are hypocrites when it comes to this and it also makes me mad- especially with HanaNene......seriously I feel like there the perfect example of a toxic relationship- Hanako basically does whatever he wants without Nene consent and when he's confronted he acts innocent- he's manipulative, he gaslights her, literally assaults her and doesn't ask for her input OR what she wants and it's so sad that you can SEE the effects of this on her-

People who say Akane is “abusive” to Aoi because of this panel and then ship Terukane are so hypocritical.

First of all, Aoi was literally trying to kill herself.

How are people not seeing this? He wasn’t trying to hurt her he was trying to get her attention and convince her not to sacrifice herself. If this was real life should he have grabbed her? No. But in terms of “abuse” this is far from the worst in tbhk. Hanako forces Yashiro to clean the bathrooms, has tried to look under her skirt, and also tried to trap her in a fake world? And you think Aoikane is the most toxic ship?

Not saying you can’t ship Hananene but if you call that a healthy relationship and then hate on Aoikane you’re being so hypocritical. Yes the characters aren’t perfect and there are problems on both Akane’s and Aoi’s side, but it’s a fictional manga of course there are some problems. Also it is no problem is you simply don’t like the ship, but saying that people who do like it support abuse is just??? So wrong??? Also people often mischaracterize Terukane as this relationship where Akane is everything to Teru and Teru would die to save Akane, but that is Teru’s relationship with his siblings NOT Akane. He has literally attacked Akane for not telling him what books he reads?
